The fully equipped eat in kitchen features a breakfast bar and is adjacent to the dining room for added space. Satellite is available on a flat screen TV in the great room and loft where you can access movies through your Netflix account.

Lake James is a clear, fresh water lake. Considered one of the most beautiful lakes in NC, it boasts 150 miles of shoreline with breathtaking mountain views. Nearby you will find Lake James State Park with multiple mountain biking trails for beginners all the way to expert. The extensive trail system is a great way to enjoy hiking at your own pace and the Paddy’s Creek area is a great public swimming spot for all ages. The Linville and Catawba rivers flow into the lake, providing a variety of sport fishing. For the golfers in the family, the Marion Lake Club offers a fantastic course with several lake views.
In addition to Lake James, nearby attractions include Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Pisgah National Forest and Crabtree Falls. Towns within an hour’s drive include Asheville, home of the Biltmore Estate; Boone near Grandfather Mountain; and Blowing Tock where Tweetsie Railroad & Amusement Park is located. These well-known tourist destinations offer antique stores, horseback riding, golf, live entertainment and fine restaurants. Towns within a 30 minute drive including Marion, Morganton, and Black Mountain, which offer a wide range of dining options, cinemas, shopping and more.
If you are planning to go boating, bring your boat or jet-ski and dock it at our private boat slip which is a few minutes drive from the house in the community. A boat ramp is conveniently located at the nearby Bear Creek Marina. A pontoon boat is also available for rent upon request and based on availability.
Note: You may not dock your boat at the shoreline since it is an environmental cove.
